Graduation Day 2026: SDM ITI Venur Recognizes Student Excellence

The Convocation Ceremony 2026 of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Industrial Training Institute (SDM ITI), Venur, was held with great enthusiasm. Graduation certificates were distributed to the students who successfully completed their training.

The programme was presided over by Dr. S. N. Kakatkar, Educational Co-ordinator of SDM Educational Institutions. In his presidential address, he emphasized that students can achieve success in their careers only by combining technical knowledge with discipline, a positive attitude, skill development, and a commitment to lifelong learning. He encouraged the graduates to contribute meaningfully to the industrial development of the nation.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Rajashekar P., Deputy General Manager of Aravind Motors, Mangaluru, highlighted the importance of technical expertise along with punctuality, communication skills, and teamwork in today’s industrial sector. He advised the students to effectively utilize the knowledge and practical skills acquired during their training in their professional lives.

Mr. Amaresh Hebbar, Placement Officer of SDM Polytechnic, Ujire, attended as the Special Guest. He guided the students on the wide range of career opportunities available in industries, professional growth, and the importance of continuously upgrading their skills.

Mr. Jinaraj Jain, Proprietor of Padmamba technologies and President of the SDM ITI Alumni Association, also graced the occasion as a distinguished guest and conveyed his best wishes to the graduating students.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by the Principal, Mr. Vishweshwara Prasad, who also delivered the introductory remarks.

On behalf of the students, Rohith, Prajnesh, and Sandra D’Souza shared their experiences, expressing gratitude for the quality training, dedicated guidance from the faculty, and valuable industry exposure provided by the institute, which laid a strong foundation for their future careers.

Representing the parents, Mr. Dharnappa Moolya and Mrs. Suvarna appreciated the management, Principal, and teaching staff for their dedicated efforts toward the holistic development of the students.

During the programme, Mr. Jagannath H., a well-wisher of the institution, was felicitated. Two parents whose three children had undergone training at the institute were also honoured for their continued association and support.

On the occasion, Sampath from the Welder Trade received the Best Outgoing Student Award for achieving 100% attendance and outstanding performance throughout the training period.

Graduation certificates were presented to all students who successfully completed their training.

The programme began with an invocation by Poojya and Prabha. The vote of thanks was delivered by Shravan Kumar B, while the programme was compered by Mr. Sathish, Junior Training Officer.

The ceremony was attended by the institute’s teaching and non-teaching staff, students, parents, and invited guests.
